Response to What are your marketing methods?

I brought a successful marketing and copywrting firm from brick and mortar to online about six months ago. Even with all the experience I had in marketing, it was a shock to see the differences in what I had to do online. (I don't even USE business cards any more..! )

I did find that safe lists, FFA sites, free classifieds, etc. were a waste of time for me. These venues are used primarily by folks who are promoting MLMs - they are looking to MAKE money, not spend money. Of course, it took many wasted hours to figure this out.

I concentrate now on getting articles published, paid ezine advertising, promoting my own ezine, a few select join ventures, certain solo ads (not the ones sent out to safe list members) and special offers to my own list.

I learned quickly that it takes money to make money - "there ain't no free lunch"... paid advertising is the best type of advertising, although you don't have to spend a fortune.

I hope this helps!
