Tim,
I agree totally that Internet marketing provides massive marketing potential. The amount of spam that you would have received in your hotmail account is a testament of it. The cost of it is low versus the probability of getting an interested buyer.
Forums are a good way of advertising. I look for forums of my interest and through it, people posting advertisements that would be of interest to members of the forum. For example, under electronics such as PDA, there might be opportunities for companies selling PDA to strike on this group of people.
Spam, especially those that is html-rich is often a nuisance to me not to mention my hotmail account space. Most often then not, I have to clear my account every few days just so that the spam does not overload it. So far, Yahoo has been able to do a better job in keeping spam away than MSN...for me at least. Spam are most often intrusive but at the moment I do not think there is any law governing spam... as yet. However, it would be only a matter of time.
Anybody else with same thoughts or different opinions, please join in this discussion. Looking forward to hear from you all.
