Can anyone help me figure out why I am not getting any sales from my site?

I have tried to open it in the past as a memeber only site but to no avail. And then I tried to sell one time payment to be a memebr and only a few joined. Now that it is Christmas and my kids have nothing, don't even know where to get the grocery money for this week, I realy need to make some sales, so I reduced the price to just $25 and still no sales. I have submitted to search engines and ezines but nothing...help???
