Freinds,

For over 5 years I was trying to figure out what it was that top resellers were doing online to sell hundreds of products a month and make a living at doing it.

Did you know that virtually all resellers who embark into the online auction business will make less than $10,000 a year regardless of how much they sell?

That’s a scary number when you think about the amount of time they’ve spent learning the technology, processing thousands of orders, dealing with inventory, return items and paying hundreds in commissions to eBay and Paypal to name a few.

Last year I interviewed over a dozen top resellers (a.k.a. Power Sellers) to find out what they’re doing to earn good money using eBay, Yahoo and MSN Auction Sites.

The common denominator is always the same. What they told me is what I want to tell you so you don’t end up spending $500 - $1000 a month on expensive listing fees that’ll consume your bottom line when everything is said an done.

When I started doing these two activities I estimate I saved well over $4000 in listing fees and increased page views over 300%. More importantly, I was able to drive tons of traffic to my website without paying a dime; you can too!

Smart Reseller took it upon themselves to utilize their About Me page to the max. They also wrote ad copy on the About Me Page that influenced the eBay visitor to leave the eBay site and visit their site to buy the same product with a better value add.

Not using your About Me Page is a kin to never using the back seats in your vehicle. It’s free advertising space you pay for every single time you run an auction.

At the same time they would offer an incentive to buy specific (high demand) products on their websites that weren’t available on eBay.

It’s important to remember the term customer acquisition cost (C.A.C.) and understand how you can influence C.A.C. to your advantage every time you list a product for sale online.

Whenever you sell a product, always capture the email and physical mailing address information – these are part of your C.A.C.

Finally, if you’re selling multiple quantities of products, always run 10 day auctions and start them on Wednesday night between 8 and 10pm Pacific Time.

Why? Plant the seeds on Wednesday, because most people will look at products 2 – 5 times before making the purchase decision.

Folks, I’ve been playing this game for years. The moment I made the decision to utilize my About Me page, sales increased, website traffic increased and I started making more money outside of eBay. You can do the same thing!

You can also direct visitors who look at your auctions to find out more about you through your About Me Page.

Finally, put a counter on your About Me Pages to see how many people are clicking through.
