In my research, I use my Google Toolbar, Alexa Toolbar and Copernic.
I also will make trips to DMOZ for directory listings as well as check the "whois" when necessary.
What you find will depend upon your search terms. Don't be afraid to be very specific in your request.
Keep in mind that you're not going to find everything you want in a single location, with just one or two clicks.
Researching is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. You find a piece here and there until after a while, you've built an entire section, etc.
