Hi,

I have an odd question ;>

I have a web maintenance and design service. I'd love to do a JV with people who have established newsletters, etc, but for the life of me I can't figure out the tracking.

Unlike a JV promoting a product, for webdesign there's usually a lot of back and forth emails before anyone commits to hiring, which means that the usual sort of affiliate tracking programs aren't really going to work.

I could pay per lead, but I think it would end up being more profitable all around to pay per solid client. So far I have it set up so that when someone contacts me, I can trace what page of mine they were one when they sent the form. So I could give each JV partner a special URL, and then if someone that contacted me from that url then hired me, I'd know who sent that client to me. However, that means that my JV partners can't go online and check stats etc - they'd have to trust me to keep it all straight.

Any better suggestions? Or do you think that people might be willing to JV this way?

(and if anyone is interested in being test case JVs, let me know)
