i'm just getting started in affiliate marketing and one thing i've noticed is that when you go to sign up (apply) with a merchant they want to know (as part of the application process) what your website url is.
if you have yet to build a website to promote their particular product or service...what do you do?
i mean...how can you build a minisite around a product or service without signing up first because it's only after you sign up that you gain access to their promotional materials to include in your minisite.
