we are entering the new world...where gender should not be a factor in progress. in this age of fast moving cars and expanding business, where the city never sleeps, we need more personnels in the work force. how then can we allow the women to stay at home and tend to mundane house chores? we need them in the workforce!
as social customs and gender roles fade into oblivion, the women of today are taking off their aprons, stepping out of their kitchens and into the business world. with the increasing opportunities for girls to recieve education, they are turning into nurtured and learned leaders, with aspirations that reach beyond the kitchen stove. they are career women, financially independent, driven, knowledgeable, even entrepreneurs.
the modern women of today do not want to just make a home, they want to make a world. a modern world, of equality, progress, and materialised dreams. no longer are they going to stay in their kitchens when they can achieve what men can--success in the business world.
however, do not treat this entrance into the business world as a sign of neglecting their maternal duties. a woman is a business person at work, but she is a mother at home, still tending to her parental duties. although many women find it difficult to juggle career and family, many have succeeded well and bring in significant income to the family. taking women out would be the most ridiculous action to do, hence we should remove the glass ceiling in companies and allow women to exploit their potential to the fullest. there are indeed countless benefits a company can have as the two genders tend to have different perspective of things, thus increasing the prospects. we should therefore encourage women into the workforce, and not repress them to their feminine chores. |
