Pros-internet shopping provides quick comparison of goods-both their quality and price, the internet also links people to unusual items they can't find elsewhere, especially for those who live in rural remote areas, in many cases the internet offers better prices with the competition and small businesses who appear big but ship from their garage or have a dropshipping account meaning they don't have the high over head a conventional store would, plus being able to shop anytime of the day or night,
Cons-no internet store can compete with a return policy like wal-mart, it is too expensive to ship an item back, so people better be sure they know what they want before they order and internet business can not afford to send out the wrong product or something defective, a shopper may wonder about the integrity of a business since they are not looking eye to eye with a person, the first buy from any internet store is a risk, some items like clothes or shoes just work best when a person can actually try them on
Personally I am very careful when shopping on the internet, there are certain types of products I feel comfortable with buying and many instances when I can save a lot of money and having the product delivered to my door instead of fighting traffic and driving to 1/2 dozen stores before finding what I want is a great convenience
I think internet shopping is here to stay.
