Are Doorway Pages Still Work?

I heard some people said that doorway pages are not working anymore. I want to know what is your opinion about this, because when searching in Google, sometimes I stumble upon a page that redirect me to another page (doorway pages).

And another question, can anyone recommend me any good doorway pages generator software?
