The key to getting started correctly is to make sure your why, your reason for wanting to do your business, is strong enough. You need to build your belief and skills to persevere and persist at the mundane activities you will repeat over and over and over.
Next, you will need to choose your company or product wisely. If you have a product or company without repeat sales, one that is overpriced or of no value, no system or list will do you any good. Choose a company that provides a reasonably priced product of exceptional value, that people will reorder month after month, even if they do not get a check.
Then, you need a complete internet marketing system that the average person can duplicate. It should be a system that is self-funded so you can earn affiliate commissions to pay for your advertising. Then learn the system, find a mentor to coach you and keep repeating the critical activities over and over to build your list.
I drive traffic to my lead capture page and when people join the system, I send them a free internet marketing and list building guide. I then teach them how to start with a traffic exchange and some autoresponders.
When they are ready, we go to more internet marketing tools and methods.
