Be Ay was a gorgeous dog standing still, but completely different than his son Frigate in that he HATED to show.. HATED IT. He finished despite that but never made a special because of it.
Frigate, as you saw was the consumate show man.
Gilbert was another real beauty that would rather have stayed at home, but he managed to win despite it.
Benny (another favorite of mine) sailed across the ring effortlessly.
I bet you enjoyed watching that.
I am really glad that I was around to see so many of these dogs, although I would be interested to see my own reaction to them 10-20 years later.
