I don't see our Nationals entry numbers reaching those of Goldens or Labs any time soon.
As long as judges would be kind enough to allow late entry for exhibitors with conflicts, and scheduling to try to assure bred-by and puppy were not being held simultaniously, I don't see it as a huge issue with the majority of the exhibitors. Yes, handlers with a string or owners with a large crew can run into problems, although I typically took anywhere from 7-10 dogs to National at one point in time, and rarely had such an issue that I couldn't function. Sure I've had to have a pinch hitter at times, but in every case there was a conflict I was able to finish the class I was late for.
I personally wish it could go back to one ring like it used to be. After all, we are there to watch dogs. I realize it would be a super long day, but it's National. Isn't that what we are there for?
