I keep checking around for updated info on the contest, and last night they finally had some more specific rules/dates and other helpful info. The bad news is that (as would be expected!) they will only count ONE VOTE per UP address per DAY...so the majority of his "views" thus far (albeit from amazingly Enthusiast Followers!) will NOT count! The good news is that we have till the end of August to make up for it.
Most of the competitors have pitifully low views--under 100--but there are a half dozen who had a HUGE headstart on us & have from 7,000 to 19,000 "views". There's no way of telling at this point how many are "valid" & I suspect that some of the top dogs have also "loaded the ballet box" a time or two (especially for a few days around the time that Gabe was shooting by the forerunners!...some of their numbers jumped suspiciously quickly )
To get the most votes for Our Boy, we need to pass on the link & get as many "devotees" as possible to throw those Daily Bones! So...Pass it on!
Another possible plan...I CAN enter Gabe in one or more of the other categories--which have WAY less views than the Best Trick category. But this would mean having to go to different links to cast votes in the multiple categories. I think my son has a cute vid of Baby Gabe attacking the camera (or barking at it), so I could even use a different video. What say? (up to this point I figured it was best to focus on one & consistently vote for that one...) Right now, we just have to be among the TOP FOUR in a category to make it to the semi-finals (which runs Aug 31 through the end of Sept) The trip to LA will take place in the first week of October.
