Jay, they can be purebred, and we know how a black can turn up from generations back, just like a white with a boxer. And by not allowing them to register them, AKC is turning them over to other registries. You know they don't want to lose that money. And, by registering them, they can perform in obedience, etc.
Again, wouldn't you rather know if there was a black back in the generation, rather than someone registering it as brindle, because there is no other choice?
I was just wanting to point out, that the info from AKC did not say "acceptable", but "available".
