or 2 before and after each feeding, to make sure they are gaining. Some litters or puppies you dont need to do this you can just see them growing. I weigh them at 6 weeks for worming and 8 weeks for worming and going home record.

I dont much care what the scale says, just how they are developing and what they look like.

Here is one of my scronny pups as a baby and how he is today at almost 11mos and 50lbs. (mom is 38lbs and dad is 50ish) This was a litter of 8.

I didnt like what these little kids looked like, but i knew the mom and dad both were very standard and had hopes that they would also be standard and still have the bulk.
