I am so glad to see this is being discussed more

And being urged to do the health testing. I know I've been a "pain in the ass" to some over the last few years with my urging of health testing. My main thing is that how do we make ourselves stand out from the pet shops and BYB? Now I see it is being urged, to have to combat AR from their actions and legislation. I am glad to see the support on this finally.

I also still think the BCA Code of Ethics and Breeders Code of Ethics need to be changed to say that health testing is recommended, and for Breeders, and those on Breeders Referral, at a minimum the CHIC. How would everyone feel about that? Perhaps the tide is changing and we can finally make some changes, like other breeds have in their code of ethics.

Also, one thing I don't understand is when some area's have laws propsed and have something about mandatory microchipping. Why would we oppose that? Even AKC states that we are to have our dogs permenantly identified, either tattoo or microchip. So, why shouldn't that also be in our Code of Ethics that all dogs and any pups sold are microchipped?

Any thoughts on this?
