I believe you can do the trachea and spine study after 5 months.

However, normally, at one year I do the cardiac and patella, for the CHIC number, and for myself, do full x-rays on the hips, elbows, trachea and spine. At that time you can then send the trachea and spine in. However, the hips and elbows have to be at 2 years to get OFA certification. But I like to know at one year how they look. Of course most won't pass on hips, but you will then be able to know if they are pretty good, a problem, or if it looks like they "should" pass OFA. Then, at 2 years you have the hips and elbows done for OFA.

Meanwhile, after one year you can do CERF and the thyroid. However, must studies show that any thyroid issues don't really show up till between 3-5, so you could be getting a premature "positive".
