Shalisa...thank you!

by

The puppy we thought was dead...was. We do have a dark brindle bitch, a fawn brindle male and a cream male, ranging from 7 to 9 ounces. Have you seen a fawn brindle Frenchy?? We've only seen the dark brindle ones.
The dead puppy was larger than the others and had a large umbilical hernia, so he likely wouldn't have made it anyway. The pups always seem to grow faster than the stitches will allow and end up getting septic and dieing anyway. I've never seen anything like her "labor"...no panting, normal temp...wanting to eat and drink. It was just weird. Anyway thank you for the thoughts! Pups and mom are doing fantastically well. Pups have already GAINED weight in just the few hours since birth. The dead puppy was still in his sac, so hopefully there is no chance of infection in the other pups or mom.
HUGE congrats to you on your new champion! I can't believe you have 8 already! happy.gif
