Tuesday, June 30th. Committee Hearings on SB 250, MSN, AB 241 Dog & Cat Limits, AB 242, Dog Fighting, AB 243 Animal Cruelty Penalty, Possibly AB 1122, Selling Animals
Everyone will meet at the committee room at 447 the new section of the state capitol for SB 250. PetPAC will have stickons against SB 250 available. Hearing starts at 9:00a.m. Line up against the wall in front of the entrance to Rm 447 follow any directions from the Sergeant at Arms. There are usually TV's on too.
It is not known the procedure of B& P. The room probably holds about 60 people.
You can reach Room 447 off the L St. entrance, turn right down the corridor then left to the bank of elevators, go to the 4th floor.
AB 241 the fifty dog limit bill will be heard on the same day at the same time in Senate Public Safety Committee at 9:30a.m June 30th, Room 4203. Pedro Nava sits on Assembly B& P and must leave to present AB 241, AB 242 and AB 243 on the Senate side.
Senator Leno will probably permit 3 speakers from each side to make presentations, and then let each side line up to ID themselves and voice their support or opposition. Proponents of the bill generally have the advantage because they usually answer committee member's questions.
Senate Public Safety Room 4203. 4203 can be reached from the main elevators on the 4th floor, turn right. Committee room is on the left hand side down the main hall.
I hope to be at both, but some times it isn't possible.
Remember: SB 250, Florez, MSN, Heard in Assembly Business and Professions Committee, 9.00a.m.
There are 23 bills on the agenda. SB 250 is number 4, but it depends upon when Senator Florez signs in.
AB 241, Fifty intact dog and cat limit law; AB 242, Dog Fighting Law; AB 243, Animal abuse, June 30th 9:30 a.m. Senate Public Safety Committee. There are 23 bills on the agenda: AB241, 242, 243 are 3rd,4th& 5th , but hearing depends upon when Mr. Nava signs in.
In a way, this might be better for all of us, as we then can testify on 4 bills at the same time.
