I appreciate your "support". Yes, thankfully he is healthy. I would much rather have it be this than health problems, but none the less it does throw you for a loop. The picture I'm attaching does'nt show his eyes or nose too well but you can see his coat color. I'll try and get a better picture up. His eyes are lighter than usual. He is the same color now as when he was born. (Rust colored) I don't know about anyone else but my red/fawn and brindle puppies are a much different "dull" color when they are born and then turn to a vibrant color. It was a 1/2 bro/sis breeding with much thought put into it. Won't do that again. I will say that it would be nice if people felt they could be open about these things without being judged. I don't have anything to hide with my dogs so I'm happy to help educate through my experiences. Although a person is a little hesitant to share when people "gasp" at the mention of some of these things that can happen and will happen if you're in it long enough.
F"E"I, most of us have these same dogs in our pedigrees, so you are right it could happen to anyone, anytime.
