I think it has lost importance for many people. I think flash, bone and showmanship trump head quality for many newer (15 years or less) breeders..

It is a very difficult trait (all parts collectively) to maintain over the course of a breeding career. Plus in the current easily available gene pool, there is not the abundance of quality heads that there once was.
