I thought you were an RVT. Don't remember when I picked that up, may have been an assumption on my part. Didn't mean to misrepresent anything or anyone.
I actually am personally a little gun shy about the term Technician in veterinary medicine. In Oklahoma, where I currently have the pleasure of residing, one cannot be called a Technician or referred to as a tech in a veterinary clinic setting unless you are a licensed RVT. In Texas, where I lived most of my life, there is no similar regulation. So I went from being able to explain that I was a tech when clients assumed I was a veterinarian because I am male and older than 20 or so, to having to say I am an assistant. I guess I liked referring to myself as a tech better than as an assistant.
