Eastons had a comfortable win against Little Hallingbury on Saturday.

Electing to bat on a damp wicket Eastons made a steady start until opener Chris Mimmack played all round a full toss. The scoring rate gradually accelerated as first Mark Stewart and then Tony Carsberg added useful runs with an increasingly perspiring Chris Hindley.

Colin Wood hit a rapid 44 with 4 sixes taking Eastons to the heady heights of 150.

Eastons got off to the perfect start after failing to make any impression on the Gilbert Tea grabbing three quick wickets and putting Little Hallingbury under pressure. The unfamiliar sight of a quick left arm bowler playing for Eastons saw guest star Paul Scholes off stump sent cartwheeling.

The introduction of Peter Taylor brought total panic to the Hallinbury middle order as they perished in a flurry of mistimed blows.

Another good day for Eastons in the field with Ed making up for his golden with two well taken catches and Stuart clinging onto two sharp chances behind the stumps.
