No! Wait! I mean everyone puts all their suggestions in it so we don't have 50 gazillion posts randomly floating around.
I nominate...
oh wait, nevermind.

smart move there Z... don't want to disturb the fragile peace... but hell, i'm feeling generous, go on... say what you really really want and I will stay silent in the back ground (with my fingers plugged deeply into my ears).

I still would really like to see "Where is My Mind?" by the Pixies up there. Great song. And some Beatles would be nice.
stikboy (Login stikboyTheAmbivalent ) Re: Re: Re: Song for Thursday - 1/15/04 January 10 2004, 3:41 AM
I agree, The Beatles would be nice.......how bout "Hey Bulldog" I think thats probably one of my favorites!!

The Promise by When In Rome

(Login J-town21 ) Asbestos Lead Asbestos January 13 2004, 12:39 AM
by Meat Beat Manifesto. Or BF's pick, "Where is my Mind". Or Cannonball by the Breeders (Kim and Kelly Deal, yo!)

Cannonball is good.
No offense, but Meat Beat Manifesto sucks. At least the one album my roommate once gave me for free.

(Login J-town21 ) I always reach for the "slightly" obscure January 14 2004, 4:43 AM
...or songs that people may hve forgot. I used to be into industrial, so I every know and then I'll slip in a request. Like:
NIN- Get down Make Love
KMFDM- Light/Juke Joint Jezebel
Ministry- Breath
But actually, I'd rather hear "My name is Jonas" or "Hashpipe" by Weezer.

Hey J-town,
What did you think of Pinkerton? I think alot of people were quick to dismiss that album because it was so different compared to the stuff on the blue album. There's a lot of good tracks on there, like "Im Tired of Sex" or "The Good Life". If you havent already, you should definitely give it a whirl.....
Few other songs I woudnt mind hearing on thursday.....
Man or Astro-Man Television Man (cover)
The Pixies Manta Ray
Talking Heads Sugar on my Tongue
Dead Milkmen Beach Party Vietnam

I love that album. The 2 tracks you mention are great, as is El Scorcho.
Wait, here's the song we've been looking for:
The Dead Kennedys- Holiday in Cambodia
