band name = Modest Mouse
song name = Float On
album name = Good News For People Who Love Bad News
i love this band, they have their own style, that is so rare in most new bands, and this isn't my favorite of their songs, but i think its appropriate, and it is their only song, i would expect nyone to have heard, plz take this ino consideration, although i know u probably get way too many of these posts

Float On is one of the most played singles in the alt rock circuit right now. Good News... sold a respectable amount and is still on the Billboard 100.

"new band?"

I'm glad Modest Mouse is gaining popularity, but they are far from a new band... They've been around for years! How about 3rd Planet from The Moon & Antarctica album?

I don't think they said they were a "new band."

NOFX, you prove that once again the intellect of the band is only surmounted by their fans.

Hey, c'mon! Don't let this jackass give you a tainted image of NOFX fans. I like NOFX, but at least I can string an intelligent sentence together (once in a while).

Man, punk is really deteriorating, mainly because of "fans" like these.

Whoa whoa whoa punk is dead!
Hah! What a terrible cliché but isn't punk an attitude really?
The pop punk stuff that NOFX play is cool and all, there's a place for it, but have you seen bands like "Busted" or "Mcfly"? What the hell happened?
Bands like that aren't challenging anything, they're just in it for the suits to make money!
"Punk" as a symbol has been taken over now and there are only a couple of bands, maybe, who are carrying the torch for the ideas within "punk". Like my beloved Fugazi for instance.
Any thoughts?
