I always look forward to song for thursday, too. Let us know if you find another website that has a great variety of quality music for free download. I haven't used any of the peer to peer programs since 2001; is limewire any good?
Thanks for all the good music, Todd!!! Most of it was new to me.

I have Limewire, too, and I love it. They have a free version, but it's all schwag and slow, so it frustrates you enough to spend the money to get the real version. It's really quick, and has tons of bootlegs and other rare recordings.
You will get pestered to "upgrade" for another $30 every once in a while, which is kind of a scam. Instead of leaving what you had alone and creating a new version with more features, they actually hurt the one you already have until you can't stand the slowness anymore and give-in and buy the new one. Even with all that, it's a small price to pay for what you get.
I would try iTunes or Napster, but I assume that since they're totally legit, they probably don't have most of the live recordings I like to download . . .
