Hello all,
I am new here and to HSing. I am going to start in August of 2004 with a 11 yr old ds with ADHD, and a 4(almost 5)yr old ds. I have had NIGHTMARISH problems with PS in our area with my 11 yr old, he is really struggling and has self esteem problems because he is having such difficulty.

I have looked at Weaver curriculum and SOS and am considering a mix of the 2. ( I want a mix of workbook and computer, not all of one, ds 11 has helped me to make that decision, we have talked extensively.) I have just a few concerns. I was at a bookstore with extensive HS section and she said that Weaver was intended for families who wanted a lot of "family time" and it took a lot of time to finish units. I was wondering if anyone here knew about Weaver and its time for prep and actual schooling. I am not concerned about time with my kids, or I wouldn't be doing this, but I really need flexibility, as my dh is a pastor, and we need the ability to keep it simple...

Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I really feel both of these companies would be great for both of my kids, and am excited, but want to get information from those in the trenches, not just a salesperson...
