Sorry to shout but I'm so excited! I've been looking at this course for almost a year, couldn't find anyone who'd used it, and finally took the plunge and bought it myself.

It was developed by a research scientist who home schooled her own three kids. We did the first lesson and experiment this week and Xia (my 11 yo daughter)was loving it!

The science portion is presented in a kid-friendly way and the laboratory portion is presented in a very scientific way. (Which Xia thoroughly enjoyed. She felt like a scientist making observations, drawing conclusions from her results and putting it all in the provided lab book.)

It's at http://www.realscience4kids.com It starts with Chemistry Level 1 (about grades 3-5) goes on to Biology and Physics.

If your child hasn't been satisfied with doing kits and asks for more in-depth understanding, this may be for you.

BTW, there's a voluntary $20 donation to the company that sells the book (ARN - They don't tell you that upfront so it looks like it costs $60). ARN is a Christian organization, I think, although the course is secular. If you don't want to make the donation, the cost is around $40.
