Yes, file the FAFSA

I hated doing that, but many of my children's ACADEMIC scholarships required that we file the FAFSA to prove the kids were NOT eligible for need based aid. Seems backwards, but that is what most schools require.

And No, you will not be eligible for need based aid unless you do NOT own your own home, do NOT own a business, and basically only live from pay check to pay check.
