My Rca 46inch Model P46720LV just all of a sudden died on me. when you try to turn it on all you hear is a click as if it attempts to come on but it doesn't. This all began the day after a storm came through and knocked the power out twice. But the TV was working fine the day the power was off and on and I have surge protectors on everything. Could this be a delayed reaction to the storm? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

On RCA TVs, shassis PTK169 or CTC169, your problem you describe is very comun.
Replace on power supply diodes: CR4118, part # 164590
This diode will check good out of circuit.
Replace Capacitors: C4108= 208002; C4104= 214756;
C4102= 195691.

Alex is correct on those caps. I seem to remember C4106 fails also.
Another very common problem with the PTK 169 is a shorted HV splitter. #205064 I think it is.
