I have just aquired a mitssubishi vs-6051 that has been believed to have been in a house that was struck by lightning. when i turn on the tv the menus work fine. the audio also works fine. the problem is that when an attena or a DVD player is inputed the picture is heavily distorted. the closest thing to explaining it is it looks similar to a vcr with a tracking problem. this occurs on every input. again when i go to the menue screen it looks and apears normal. any ideas to what could be possibly wrong and the solution would be a great help before i start getting into it.

PIP modules are not available new. the best solution is to bypass it.

i downloaded the schematic for mitsubishi vs-6051 and figured out how to bypass the pip. after doing so the problem did not go away. was wondering if anyone new of some place that i could buy parts. i think i can narrow the problem down to a board and then just replace the board. also kinda a crazy idea but since the menue dispalys properly showing that the crt's are working could i perhaps jerry rig it using the signal output of another tv and tie it into the crt cricuit thus bypassing the whole problem. just an idea. i dont know a lot about tv's but i would like to learn. any info or perhaps solution ideas would be great. thanks
