Help with Samsung TV

Hello,

I messed up with my Samsung TX-R2435 and changed the wrong setting in the service menu. Actually I wasnt in there to change anything but look for a particular setting. I "clicked" on something I thought would lead me to a sub-menu but instead it seems like it activated....something...The menu disappeared (while the same channel, coming from the satellite, was still playing), and no controls worked anymore. I couldn't even power off. I unplugged, thinking it might fix it. It didn't. Now the TV won't run on. When I try to power it on, the green light turns on then goes off and that's it. I left it unplugged for over 4 hours but that didn't work either. Trying to get back into the service menu des not work, the TV doesn't turn on anyway.

Any idea on what I coul do at this point?

Thanks for any help!

I should have added that the thing I clicked on while in the menu was called "bus stop".

Now any idea on how I can start the bus again.....?

I read about changing the eeprom, but I don't want to do that without knowing if that's the problem...

Great example of why we don't just give out service codes to every one, You stoped the data bus from transmiting, there is no magic service code to fix this the main e-prom will have to be replaced then reset back to factory defaults If youre damm luck a repair shop should only charge 150 to 200.00 for this

Hmmm, is it the $6 eeprom? I'm sure I can replace it myself for much less than that and just a bit of time, like when I was quoted over $700 for a car repair I ended up doing myself for much less.

Now I would love to hear an intelligent answer as to the usefullness of such a menu command (especially if it can't be restored). Don't think there's anything about service menus that is beyond the knowledge of anybody who can use a remote. There's just some people with a manual and others without.
