Hitachi CMT2195 TV shuts off within seconds of starting

My Hitachi multi-system TV (model CMT2195) turns off within seconds after power on. The TV had been turned off power for about a month I was on vacation and when I came back and strated it this problem came up.
Any ideas how to fix tis or what the cause is? Thanks.

It was not plugged in when I was on vacation. The TV turns on briefly and then shuts itself off. Sometimes the elapsed time is seconds and sometimes it holds on for a few minutes.
