I've had my tv for 11 years and have had no trouble until recently. I use the antenna. I'm not connected to cable. It will receive very good reception for a few moments then will go out and then come back on again. I bought a new antenna, but it did not fix the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Chances are your RF connector on the rear of the set has come unsoldered inside the tuner. Not generally something a consumer would be able to correct.

DO YOU HAVE AN ANTENNA AMPLIFIER IN SYSTEM? AND IF YOU DO, IS IT PLUGGED IN?WHAT KIND OF LEAD-IN ARE YOU USING/ ( SHOULD BE ROUND COAX) I HAVE SEE SOME SITUATIONS WHERE THE COAX AND FLAT LEAD HAVE BEEN MIXED. DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER TV TO HOOK UP TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM IS INDEED IN THE TV? HAS ANY OTHER TV'S BEEN CONNECTED TO SYSTEM? IS ANTENNA FACEING THE THE PROPER DIRECTION? AND BY FADING OUT, DO YOU MEAN THE PICTURE IS SNOWY, AND IF YOU WAIT LONG ENOUGH DOES THE PICTURE COME BACK, OR DOES THE SCREEN JUST LOOK SMOOTH WHEN IT ACTS UP? THOSE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU CAN CHECK, BEFORE GOING TO DEEP INTO THE TV. GOOD LUCK --J.C.
