JVC 27" MODEL AV 27920

I have a 1998 TV, JVC 27" MODEL AV-27920
Set stby light blinksafter set is plug in. I can hear power supply trying to startup when power pressbut just shut down.
any help on this guys?

Check the HOT and FBT.

both hot and flyback seem to be fine everything looks ok but stby only flashes

You can check right away if HOT is busted.How do you know if the FBT is good or not ? Tell us please.....

The sears model number is 509.14370 or 27" JVC tv model:AV-27920/AV27820/AV27320,chassis:A67,year:Aug 98,SAMS 4080,a common failure is over time the picture shrinks to a point where you no longer have vertical deflection then the tv shuts off and when turned on the tv stays on for a few seconds,here are the common failure parts:
