| Picture is very dim. EHT, g2 and heater voltage OK. CRT ok. Most electrolytes checked- OK. There's video amplivier TDA6108. Can it be faulty? the cathodes have 165V it seems too high for me. The TDA.. is so hot that i can't hold finger on it... is it usual? Thanx |

THE GROUND ON IC# TDA6108 IS PIN# 4 , AND THE VOLTAGE FEED IS PIN # 6 . THE SHORTING TEMPRATURE IS 150 DEGREES FARENHEIT. UNSOLDER PIN 4 OR PIN 6 AND SEE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS. IF IN QUESTION I WOULD JUST REPLACE IT, BECAUSE IT'S ONLY ABOUT 4$-6$ AMERICAN . GOOD LUCK PETE/TECH |
