I have a Nikada L1371 37" lcd tv purchased six months ago. On some channels I have no sound, on other channels I have background sound but when people talk there's no sound, and on other channels everything is fine.

I tried hooking up surround sound speakers and nothing changed so I'm thinking the problem is not with the speakers.

Does anyone know what the problem may be. I can't reach Nikada to get warranty service.

the problem is in the cable companys frequency, not your tv. some cable co's channels are off freq. in some cities due to military freq's, or faulty cable equipment,you can lose the sound or pix depending on how far they are detuned. call cable co .and have them run a frequency check on your cable line. good luck
