| Hi guys, this set RCA F25422 CTC203AC4, has a farely good pic and sound, but has this fault that i never saw before,When i go to menu it usualy has a blue square with a yellow line, but this one instead of the blue has just green barely can see the menu controls, and also the channel # has a small green square like the menu,it all started with almost full red kinda like when you have a crt board fault and clear up, i suspect caps, since i had this chassis as a spare not used it for long time.any ideas where should start to look for this trouble. Thanks in advance. |

Hi Help again, ihave this two caps that show short in my ESR,they just at the end of the micro, they come out of pin 26 of U12101the micro to ground, one is C12707 220uf35v,the other is C12707 a surfmout cap dont know value,i took out the electrolitic cap and out side is ok.the other one i did't take out but i assum that it willbe ok. could the micro be bad or the short could be some other place?any clues will be wellcome thanks. |

Yes i took out the electrolitic c12707 220uf and it tested not short the other c12707 smt cap. didn't because don't have the value and i'm afraid that it's not bad and don't have other to change. |

it's possible that the short is in something else then. try replaceing the chip. |
