Someone gave me a Mitsubishi VS-5004R RPTV. It is in working order but the colors are messed up. There is way to much red and seems the blue tint is not there. Tried to set the colors using the TV alignment screen, didn't change the way it looked. Does anyone know what could be the problem and if it is worth fixing

try cleaning all the pix tube surfaces, and mirror. then go to ctr block/ focus assembly and find the controls for red,blue, green. adjust as needed.

there is no green on the adjustment screen, only red and blue

A seventeen year old Mit's has problems? go figure, Well first thing you would find is a bizzilon capacitors that have worn over time, mabe only a quarter million cold solder joints on all boards, and then a few blown Ic's in the convergance board, and for the good news, three real tired CRT's that no adjustment will fix. The age of this set realy should make you think before thowing money at it.
