i done the solder connections on tuner then i had low audio and cut trace on q1903 fixed the low volume problem now set works fine except when i go to menu and try to select auto program the menu locks up and nothing works including the front controls. I have to unplug the set to reset but set works fine on 1-13 i have not seen this on the ctc chassis i have had the ic go bad and loose the high or low band but not lock up all functions.

double check the ground connections on tuner, did you install sheild back on tuner? cause it stikk sounds like a bad solder connection

You have the eeprom corruped, change it and it will be fine.
