We have a Panasonic 51" Projection TV that goes Off and On. We pulled the back off and found the problem to be (or near) a part labeled HOT with the name Royal 921 and the #'s 15W 1(greek letter-upside down U?)5j. When we touch this part it turns the TV ON but if we touch the SMALL brown part(beside it)....it goes off. I'm sorry for being so technical. lol cAN YOU HELP, PLEASE?

Frank, thanks but I am electronically impaired. Which part is the stand off resistor, the white one or small Brown one? How do I replace it, undo the screws and just pull it out, then plug in a new one? Is it expensive?

Sounds like a bad solder joint on those components. This is an easy fix for someone who can (competently) use a soldering iron.
