I have this CRT TV which switches channels by itself making it impossible to watch anything.

Another problem I'm having is I can't seem to figure out how to dismantle the PCB from under the CRT to troubleshoot it.

Anyone has any idea on how to dismantle the PCB or what could be the problem on a similar chasis?

Does the channels change up or down ( channel 3 to 4 to 5) or does it jump to any channel ( channel 3 to 40 to 37 )? I have had 2 different TV's act weird like that. The first one...The Remote control had been stepped on and the channel up button stuck. (just happened to walk out of the room with the remote and it stopped) The second one...When my son was three he decided to water all the plants with a spray bottle including my TV. The water fried the pushbutton for the down channel which continuously change the channel down.

Hopefully its as simple as that, but try to rule out the easy stuff.

The channels just keep on changing in AV1, AV2, AV3, Channel 1 and back to AV1 again. I suspect the AV panel controller that slides in and out of the main TV panel is faulty. I just don't know how to get this AV panel out.
