Can anyone tell me why my computer Dell Latitude 830 mode LCD screen died on me?
Of course the real drama was when LCD screen suddenly opened or bent forward, more than it should.
I also attempt opening it, to see whether flat ribbon-wire from LCD screen was out of its place but wasn’t.
Now I have connect another CRT Monitor to get it working.
But I do like to get the LCD fixed rathere than another monitor hockup to it.

Many thanks for any help or advise any body may have.

regards...

peter.

Being a Dell you will need a new screen and perhaps more, cost of fix if you can find someone to do that against cost of replacement will not be great.

The inverter board may be bad but determining that requires you to have a replacement board. It could still be the screen also,if you look on ebay you can usually find a fairly cheap replacement for screen and inverter.
