The tv will not power up. The tv makes a continous high pitched sound like an ignition capacitor disharge. Nothing else works. no picture so sound .. Looked over the main board nothing seems smoked..
There is a thermistor I think that is part of the degaussing circuit that is damaged

What you talking about is RT14201.normaly the legs come off of it, i usualy take the legs out of the chassis and solder the legs on it, and solder it back in the chassis, and it works as long the round disk is not cracked.
