MITSUBISHI ck3531r Have a white vertical line across the screen with sound

Turn tv on cold and have a shacky pic then within 10 to 15 sec the pic starts to shrink and it goes right down to a white vertical line only. can someone please shed some light on this for me. Thank You

sounds like the vertical IC is heating up , or a bad capacitor in vert section.
