SV2000----Wont stay on

I have an SV2000 and everytime you press the on button, the picture comes on for a second and goes right back off. Sometimes it will stay on if you press the button 20 times, other times it wont

Whatever his product is, my guess is the problem is due to aged electrolytic capacitors in the power supply or wherever. If he had a good ESR meter, he could have at it and fix the damn thing!
