That is an old set. NEC got out of the consumer electronics business years ago. I would wonder what condition the tubes are in. You might look at the pc boards and see if any of the coolant leaked onto them- Once I saw an NEC PTV that had coolant on the board near the micro.

if someone could tell me the number of the board that controls the main controls in he front of the tv it would really help me out. Yes this a very old tv but still works and would like it to work for the kids games in the basement. we replaced it 9 yrs ago with a 35 inch rca. I pluged it in and it work perfect for one day and the controls when out. I pulled every broad out and checked all fuses i could see.
