Philips TV Dead

My 35" Philips TP3684CI Television went dead last night. No power at all. After it went out we did smell something burning, but no smoke. My husband opened back, checked the one fuse he could find. It was okay. We live in a small town without a tv repair shop. Does this sound fixable?
Thanks

I wanted to add that this happened right after a house behind us was hit by lightening. Don't know if connected or not. The other devices plugged into surge bar all were okay. Also...no clicking noise when power button is hit on TV or using remote...nothing.
Thanks for any help.

carefully unscrew and remove the chasis. you should see a fuse on the main circuit board. hopefully it's just a blown fuse,if so, make sure to use a correct replacement fuse.

A little problem with Petes responce A blown fuse don't stink. Either a cap blew or a resistor fried, Mabe the high voltage transformer failed. Many times Tv owners can fumble thru a repair but as a rule when the smoke gets out of the set,,,,, It takes a Tv tech to put the smoke back in.
