I own a phillips model# 27pt6442/37 (Chas.# L0.1U AA) television . The set will not turn on. The fuse is ok and the power switch has continuity in the closed position. I suspect the problem lies in one or more of the power supply components. I am trying to find out the key voltages across these components.

This is not a good set to start trying to fix. If there is any short in the B+ line the supp;y will not function, your issue now is the supply filter capacitor will remain fully charged and will bite. Also reading the supply with that capacitor charged can cause damage. Reading the supply under power will cause damage. The chances are its not the supply if I were laying bets Id give you 3 to 1 against the supply. This set uses IsqC technology which is a bus line going round the set. if the buss fails the set sits as you have got. Worst fault I got to do that was a shorting speaker.
